East Lyme — John and Jillian Wilson of Sign Craft Inc. installed new signs Friday at the Niantic Children's Museum on West Main Street in the village of Niantic.

The museum announced the name change, from the Children's Museum of Southeastern Connecticut, during its annual fundraising gala, held online this year on Sept. 11.

The museum was founded in 1992, and the first logo stemmed from a contest, in which 230 entries came from children 12 and under. The museum website is now NianticKids.org.

John Wilson said his company installed the previous signs when the museum moved to the current location from a storefront in another part of town.
