Georgiana G. Brigido Lavallee, 75, of Branford, died peacefully on Oct. 15 at her home, surrounded by her family who loved her dearly.  She was the wife of the late John N. Lavallee.  Mrs. Lavallee was born on Aug. 13, 1937 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, daughter of the late Augusto and Maria Elias Brigido. She graduated summa cum laude from Bryant College in 1957. 

Mrs. Lavallee was a communicant of St. Mary Church in Branford.  She was also an avid golfer at the Pine Orchard Yacht & Country Club, where she enjoyed many good times with her friends, and she loved her trips to Italy to attend various cooking schools with her friends.  Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, attending all of their activities, and taking them on shopping sprees.  They will sorely miss their “Gram Cracker.” 

She is survived by her children, Donna Frate and her husband Miles of Oxford, Katherine Leavitt and her husband Michael of Jupiter, Florida, John E. Lavallee and his wife Laura of Jupiter, Florida, Mary Tucker and her husband Earl of Branford, and Robert Lavallee of Branford; her twin brother, George Brigido and his wife Carolann of Lincoln, Rhode Island; and her 13 grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a sister, Lucille Alves.

Her funeral procession will leave the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford, on Friday, Oct. 19, at 9:30 a.m., for a mass of Christian burial at St. Mary Church at 10 a.m.  Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery.  Friends may call on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 4 to 8 p.m.   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.  For directions and online memorial see www.wsclancy.com.
