Gail and Julio Sanchez of Groton are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Erica Marie Sanchez, to Adam Joseph Torcia, son of Donna and Allan Schroeder of Guilford, and Valerie and Anthony Torcia of Scarsdale, N.Y.

Erica, a 2005 graduate of Robert E. Fitch High School in Groton, is currently employed in the hospitality industry at Foxwoods Casino, as is her fiance.

Adam, a 1992 graduate of Guilford High School, earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications from Westfield State University, in Westfield, Mass. in 1996.

An Aug. 2013 wedding is planned.
