Happy Memorial Day! Well, technically, not yet. But there is cause for Memorial Day celebration Sunday — in the form of Montville's Memorial Day Parade.
It's tradition that the town holds its parade the Sunday before the actual Memorial Day weekend. So, Sunday, first comes a wreath-laying ceremony at noon in front of the Old Town Hall.
Then, at 1 p.m., the parade begins its progression down Route 32 from Raymond Hill Road to Depot Road. It ends at Comstock Cemetery.
This year's parade pays particular homage to Montville's fire police, and fire police member Bertram Kelley.
