Crews closed multiple lanes of the northbound Interstate 395 near Exit 6 on Tuesday afternoon because of a two-car crash in which both drivers sustained minor injuries, according to state troopers from the Troop E barracks in Montville.

The 3:45 p.m. crash lead to congestion on Interstate 395 for much of the afternoon.

Although the wreck was cleared and lanes reopened by about 4:20 p.m., traffic remained congested as of 5:30 p.m., with some calls reporting congestion as far back as Exit 2.
