Performances featured at Telegraph's Black Friday/Record Store Day

Sure, bad things can happen on Black Friday. People are vicious!

You can get punched out at the super store by the irate octogenarian grandmother who feels she's entitled to all four of the remaining flat-screen televisions. Or maybe the mall doors open at 2 a.m., and you just get streamrollered like those cretins who "run with the bulls" because they saw it on a light beer commercial and thought, "How much could it hurt, really?"

It seems like the truly sane Black Friday thing to do would be to investigate the Record Store Day options at the Telegraph in New London.

In addition to all types of very cool special editions and new releases - from J. Mascis and Seth Macfarlane to Hozier, Miles Davis and St. Vincent - the Telegraph will host some fine live performances. Scheduled to serenade: 4 p.m., Craig Edwards and Friends; 5 p.m., Kris Hansen (of Viking Jesus); 6 p.m., All In and All Out; 7 p.m., John Fries; 7:30 p.m., Matt Potter Solo; 8 p.m., Loom.
