Police: Naugatuck man wanted on murder warrant for killing 11-month-old girl

Nov. 21—NAUGATUCK — The man wanted in connection with the killing of an 11-month-old child is sought on charges of murder with special circumstances and risk of injury to a minor, police said Sunday night.

The Naugatuck Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for Christopher Francisquin, 31, who remained at-large Sunday night.

Police have been searching for Francisquini since officers were called to a home on Millville Avenue shortly after 11:30 a.m. Friday to investigate a death, officials have previously said.

Police said Francisquini was related to the victim and a member of the household, but have not specified their relationship.

Francisquini fled the home in a gray 2006 Chevrolet Impala. Police have said they believe they located the vehicle abandoned on Interstate 91 at Exit 8, but have not confirmed it is the same car.

Police released security footage of the man they said matched Francisquini's description on Quinnipiac Avenue in New Haven around 4 p.m. Friday.

Police said the public should not approach Francisquini.

Anyone with information about Francisquini's whereabouts can contact Naugatuck Police at 203-729-5221 or the department's confidential tip line at 203-720-1010.
