Poetry in a Pandemic: The sigh
There must be some reason
That my mind said to sigh
So I did
And I don’t know why
It may be the unknowing end
To the pandemic’s final day
It may be the unknowing end
To our nation’s final say
It may be the unknowing day
That we may finally get back to play
It may be the unknowing time
That we will all be fine
I think that my mind said to sigh
To clear some space in there
For hope to enter and make it clear
That there will be time
For all to heal as time goes by
