Florence M. Hogan, 90, of North Branford, wife of the late Waldo G. Hogan, died suddenly Sept. 7 at Peregrine Landing in Clinton. Florence was born April 8, 1923 in North Branford to the late Richard A. and Anna (Schmidt) Scholz, who ran Scholz’s Store in North Branford for more than 40 years. 

Florence was a life-long resident of North Branford, and before retirement worked as the production manager for Counting Devices, Inc. for 40 years.

She was a communicant of St. Augustine Church, and a member of Totoket Grange #83 and the Totoket Historical Society.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Hogan McKosky and her husband David McKosky of Killingworth; a son, Lawrence J. Hogan and his wife Rita Cheng Hogan of North Branford; five grandchildren, David McKosky, Stacy McKosky Harvey and her husband Bruce, James Cheng Hogan, Laura Cheng Hogan and Grace Cheng Hogan; and four great- granddaughters, Emily and Samantha McKosky and Katelyn and Sarah Harvey.

The funeral will leave from the Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Road, North Branford, Thursday, Sept. 12 at 9:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at St. Augustine Church, North Branford, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, North Branford.
