    Isabel V. Miller

    Branford

    Isabel V. Zdanowicz Miller, 91, died Sept. 27 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Laurence R. Miller of Branford. Mrs. Miller was born Feb. 4, 1923, in New Haven, daughter of the late Julius and Pelagia Zdanowicz.

    She worked as a secretary at the Branford Town Hall and also as secretary to the chief of police of the Branford Police Department for many years until retiring.

    Mrs. Miller is survived by her son Laurence (Annie) Miller of Seattle, Washington; her grandchildren Lina (Marc) Miller Furst and Dustin L. Miller; her great-grandchildren Louis and Pascal Miller; and her sister Evelyn Gladdys of Branford. She was predeceased by her brothers Archie, Leonard, Victor, Henry, and Edward Zdanowicz, and her sister Pauline Struzinsky.

    The funeral procession left Oct. 2 from the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford, for a Mass of Christian burial in St. Mary Church. Burial followed in St. Agnes Cemetery. Calling hours were held on Sept. 30. For an online memorial,  please visit www.wsclancy.com.
