So many people in Connecticut and throughout the world have felt helpless in the face of the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Yet there are ways to help the community as it struggles to recover: donate to an agency whose responsibility is to provide support services to families and children: the Newtown Youth and Family Services agency.  

The Old Saybrook Youth and Family Services agency will be collecting financial donations to contribute to Newtown Youth and Family Services. This is a Newton agency that will provide supportive services for community and family members in the wake of Friday's tragedy.  Or, for individuals and families that would prefer to donate directly, the address for Newtown Youth and Family Services is 15 Berkshire Road, Sandy Hook, CT 06482.
