Norwich Republican state House candidate to hold meet-and-greet, fundraiser Saturday

Norwich — Republican Robert Bell, who will try for a second time to win the 46th District state House of Representatives seat, will hold a fundraiser and meet-and-greet with voters Saturday evening in the Sunlight Building at 66 Franklin St. in downtown Norwich.

Bell, 48, a Navy veteran and owner of Bell Logistics LLC property management firm, has filed candidate paperwork to run in the 46th House District, which represents only the urban and southern sections of the city. He unsuccessfully challenged incumbent Democrat Emmett Riley for the seat in 2020.

Bell will hold the event from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the Sunlight Building's second-story meeting room. He is raising money to qualify for the state Citizens Election Program, which provides campaign funding to qualifying candidates.

The event will include refreshments, and voter registration forms will be available.
