Crooner Bobby Darin had his biggest chart-toppers in the late 1950s and ‘60s, but the tunes live on. His “Beyond the Sea,” for instance, plays a pivotal role in “A Quiet Place Part II.” (Don’t worry; no movie spoilers here.)

His popularity is such that tribute acts still perform Darin’s greatest hits. Ron Gartner is bringing his “Splish Splash: The Music of Bobby Darin” show to the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center on Saturday.

He sings everything from “Mack The Knife” to “Dream Lover,” and he also delves into the tales of Darin’s life — how he felt he was going to die young after suffering from rheumatic fever as a kid and wanted to make an impression and do everything he could before he passed. He ended up dying at age 37 after a heart operation.
