    Groton-Ledyard Rotary Club Seeking Donations The Groton-Ledyard Rotary Club is seeking donations for its 2010 Annual Televised Auction. The auction runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, on public access channel 12 on both the Comcast Cable and the Thames Valley Communication systems. All proceeds will be used to benefit community charities and finance scholarships for local high school students.

    A Taize Prayer Service and Peace Labyrinth Walk will be held Friday, Feb. 5 from 7-9 p.m. at Niantic Community Church. Taize is an ecumenical Christian community that was formed at the end of the Second World War to promote peace and justice. It has since spread throughout the world. The 30 minute service will be followed by a Peace walk on a 24 foot, indoor labyrinth surrounded by candlelight.
