Championship Sunday 8:45am Seahawks vs. Martha’s Vineyard

    Seahawks 10 | MV 4

It doesn’t get any better than this. It was clear from the 1st period that MV came out to win. The two teams were well matched from the drop of the puck. MV put the score on the board first followed shortly by a goal from Nate Hopkins. MV game back before the 1st period ended to take the lead 2-1. In the 2nd period things started to click for the Seahawks and thanks to snippers Obourn, Jordan and Hopkins, 5 goals went to the back of the net for the Seahawks. Not to mention incredible defense by Ard, Marino and Fava.

At the end of the 2nd score was Seahawks 6, MV 2. But that wasn't the end of the MV mites steam, as they came back with an early goal in the 3rd making it Seahawks 6, MV 3. Devyn Jordan put more space between the score adding 4 more goals for the Seahawks. MV came back again for their final goal at 5:46 left in the 3rd. Nate Hopkins put the last goal in for the Seahawks with 40 seconds left in the period with a final score of Seahawks 10, MV 4.

Hat tricks for Devyn Jordan (4 goals), Nate Hopkins (3 goals) and Nick Obourn (3 goals).

Goalies Kellen Beauton and Timmy Flynn rocked the house between the pipes!

We are all proud of our players! Their determination, teamwork and sportsmanship are commendable. Nice job Seahawks!
