    Walker named All-American

The United States Basketball Writers Association named UConn junior Kemba Walker to its All-American first team.

Walker joins BYU's Jimmer Fredette, Duke's Nolan Smith, Ohio State's Jared Sullinger and Purdue's JaJuan Johnson on the first team.

Walker is one of three college basketball players in the nation to average over 20 points, five rebounds and four assists. He led the Huskies to the Big East tournament title, scoring a tournament record 130 points in five games and earning MVP honors.

UConn, a No. 3 seed, is preparing this week for its NCAA tournament opener against 14th-seeded Bucknell Thursday night at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.
