No. 1 Ohio State 71, Penn State 60

Jared Sullinger had 15 points and 11 rebounds and Ohio State defeated Penn State in the Big Ten tournament final at Indianapolis Sunday.

Sullinger, the tournament's most outstanding player, averaged 16.3 points and 14 rebounds in the tournament to help the top-seeded Buckeyes (32-2) repeat as champions.

William Buford scored 18 points and Jon Diebler added 15 for the Buckeyes, who also won the league's regular-season title.

Talor Battle scored 24 points and Jeff Brooks added 19 for Penn State (19-14), which reached the final for the first time.

The Nittany Lions, who haven't reached the NCAA tournament since 2001, were trying to become the first team since Iowa in 2001 to win four consecutive games to claim the title.

The Nittany Lions had allowed 45.3 points per game in their three tournament wins, but Ohio State surpassed that total with 13 minutes remaining. The Buckeyes shot 64 percent in the second half.

The Buckeyes won their seventh straight game and became the second team in conference history to play in the final three straight years.

They became the first repeat tournament champion since Michigan State in 1999 and 2000, and both of those teams reached the Final Four.

No. 15 Kentucky 70, No. 12 Florida 54

Brandon Knight scored 17 points, MVP Darius Miller hit two crucial 3-pointers and Kentucky cruised to another Southeastern Conference tournament title at Atlanta.

The 12th-ranked Gators (26-7), the regular-season champs, had a miserable day shooting, especially guards Kenny Boynton and Erving Walker.

They combined to go 7 of 26 from the field, their woes epitomized in the closing minutes when they put up back-to-back airballs trying desperately to bring Florida back.

Kentucky (25-8) streaked into the NCAAs with its sixth straight win, second straight SEC tournament crown and 27th title overall - more than every other school combined.

Boynton scored 10 points, the only Florida player in double figures. But he was just 4 of 16 from the field. The Gators shot just 39 percent (22 of 57), matched their second-lowest scoring game of the season and almost took their worst loss, just getting in under a 93-75 defeat to Ohio State back in November.

Richmond 67, Dayton 54

Kevin Anderson capped a tournament MVP performance with 23 points and Richmond finished the job this season, winning its first Atlantic 10 title with a victory over Dayton at Atlantic City, N.J.

Justin Harper added 18 points as the third-seeded Spiders (27-7) won their seventh straight game and earned consecutive NCAA tournament berths for the second time in school history.

It also gave them a feeling much different than a year ago when they lost the title game to Temple in a heartbreaker, giving the Owls their third straight championship in this casino resort.

No. 23 Utah State 77, Boise State 69

Tai Wesley scored 19 points after a quiet start and Utah State earned its second straight trip to the NCAA tournament, beating Boise State in the Western Athletic Conference championship game Saturday night at Las Vegas.

Utah State (30-3) was solid throughout in its fifth WAC title game in six years, getting big contributions from Brian Green (12 points) and Nate Bendall (16 points) at the start of each half.

Wesley took over down the stretch, scoring nine points in the final 5 minutes to help the Aggies match a school record for wins and set off a wild celebration with the student section at midcourt.

Boise State (20-12) twice came back from double-digit deficits to make it close, but will now have to hope for some generosity from the NCAA tournament selection committee for its first berth since 2008 - which might be a longshot coming out of the weak WAC.

WOMEN

No. 13 Wisc.-G. Bay 74, Butler 63

Adrian Ritchie scored 18 points to lead five teammates in double figures and Wisconsin-Green Bay earned a trip to the NCAA tournament with a victory over Butler in the Horizon League tournament final at Green Bay.

The Phoenix's defense once again led the way early on, holding Butler to 28 percent shooting and forcing 12 first-half turnovers to take a 40-19 lead at the break.

Brittany Bowen scored 24 of her 34 points in the second half and second-seeded Butler (20-13) battled back to trim its deficit from 26 to 11, but Green Bay held on for its league record 10th tournament championship. Sarah Eichler added 17 points for the Phoenix (32-1).
