Lyme - With a slate of uncontested candidates, the only uncertainty in Lyme Tuesday was who would get the highest number of votes.

Would it be Republican Ralph F. Eno Jr., who won his third consecutive two-year term as first selectman and is entering his 16th year in office? Linda A. Winzer, who took over as town clerk in March after top vote-getter Ruth Perry resigned and was cross-endorsed by the Democrats?

Or Lyme-Old Lyme Board of Education Chairman James P. Witkins, who was also cross-endorsed by the Democratic Party?

Winzer beat them all, with 280 total votes to Witkins' 273 and Eno's 259.

Republican Selectman Parker H. Lord also earned his 12th term in office, with 178 votes, while Democratic Selectman Steven E. Mattson was voted in for a fourth consecutive term on the board, with 109 votes.

Voter turnout was 16 percent, with 289 of the 1,805 registered voters coming out to vote on a summery fall day.
