In response to the recent letter to the editor, "Sec. Clinton failing to act courageously," (May 8), where the author describes Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as lacking courage, accuses her of "committing treason" and "selling out American principles" and judges her about her decision to stay with Bill Clinton, I say: Are you kidding me?

Hillary Clinton has been, and continues to be, one of the most courageous and dedicated women our modern culture has seen. She is a woman of integrity, in the finest sense. She works tirelessly to fight for right and justice, despite the petty criticism directed at her. Political beliefs aside, how dare that letter writer sling mud at Secretary of State Clinton by denigrating her personal decisions and diplomatic efforts and referring to her as a "weak-willed coward" who "lacks guts." Please!
