James "Kit" Kittrell and Amy Banks of Groton are excited to announce their engagement.

Amy is the daughter of Eugene and Harriet Banks of Lisbon. Amy is employed in Client Services at The Oliver Group in Pawcatuck.

Kit is the son of Ross Kittrell of Oakdale and Katherine MacGregor of Fairfield. Kit is the owner of Kittrell Building & Remodeling.

Together, they are planning an Oct. 5, 2013 wedding in Mystic.
