No going back, but country can change

The senior community is comprised of parents, grandparents and, in some cases, great grandparents. We've seen our children grow and our grandchildren prosper. Because we are, most of us, retired, we see the world in a different light. And, because we are on the downhill side of the slope, we tend to see things a little differently. Life becomes more precious to us. Our children and grandchildren become more precious to us. We look to the beauty around us and marvel at the beauty of a sunset. We enjoy each and every day spent with family and friends. We try to look forward to a future of happiness for our children and grandchildren. Of course, nothing is predictable, but we strive to believe in a world that can/will offer change.

When a tragedy such as this strikes, everyone wants to help, to do something, to make it better, to make it go away, to go back to life the way it was.

    Unfortunately, this won't happen.

But, lessons will be learned and changes will be made to make it a safer world, a world where we will, maybe, feel a little more comfortable living in.
