Stonington — Police made an arrest Friday night in connection to break-ins reported in the Pawcatuck area over the past few weeks.

Lenny Fayerweather, 24, of 98 W. Broad St., Pawcatuck, was arrested and charged around 9 p.m. Friday with three counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of third-degree larceny and one count of second-degree criminal mischief, according to police Capt. Jerry Desmond.

Fayerweather was held in lieu of an $85,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on Monday.

Some of the stolen items from the burglaries have been recovered, police said.

Burglaries had been reported on South Broad Street, Washington Street, Hawley Street, Lathrop Avenue, in unoccupied homes near Pawcatuck Middle School and on upper Liberty Street, Courtland Street and Field Street.

The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are possible, Desmond said.
