Man found dead at Rocky Neck State Park
East Lyme — A man was found dead at one of the camp sites at Rocky Neck State Park Thursday morning.
East Lyme police responded to the incident at about 10:15 a.m. Thursday. The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection also responded to the scene and investigated with the help of state police.
East Lyme Resident Trooper Sgt. Wilfred Blanchette said the incident did not appear suspicious.
Police described the victim as a white male in his 40s but are withholding his identity until next of kin are notified.
State police have taken over the follow-up investigation, said Dennis Schain, DEEP communications director.
