Body found at Rocky Neck State Park identified

East Lyme — A man who was found dead at one of the camp sites at Rocky Neck State Park Thursday has been identified as 41-year-old Jesse P. Farland of Niantic.

Dwayne Gardner, spokesman for the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, said Monday that Farland died of an apparent suicide and no foul play is suspected.

East Lyme police responded to the incident at about 10:15 a.m. Thursday. DEEP responded to the scene and investigated with the help of state police.
