Norwich Public Utilities responds to water main break in Bozrah

Bozrah – Norwich Public Utilities is on the scene of a 30-inch water main break in the Fitchville Road area of Bozrah Wednesday afternoon.

NPU crews are repairing the main, which serves about 45 customers, but the repairs are expected to take 16 hours.

Affected customers will be notified as soon as the main is repaired, NPU officials said. Once the main is repaired, customers should flush their internal piping by running a faucet for five to 10 minutes before using the water for consumption.

If they still experience any discoloration or odor, they should call NPU at (860) 887-2555 to report it.
