UPDATED: Man seriously injured in Waterford motorcycle crash

Waterford — A Gales Ferry man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash at 24 Braman Road late this afternoon.

Bill Laskey was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital after the 5:29 crash that closed the road. Police said Laskey went off the right side of the road and crashed. Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to contact police at 60-442-9451 and reference case #2013-01477. All calls will be kept confidential. The department’s Accident Investigation Team is investigating the crash.
