    86 sailors graduate from Basic Enlisted Submarine School

    Groton — Eighty-six sailors of “Class 13300,” USS Maine (SSBN-741), graduated from Basic Enlisted Submarine School on Friday, June 28.

    Logistics Specialist Third Class David McLeod was the class honorman. Logistics Specialist Third Class Alexander Ridgway was meritoriously advanced. Seaman Recruit Alexander Pratt, the class leader, received the Submarine Heritage Award and Construction Electrician Second Class Josue Pelton received the Navy Core Values Award.

    Ridgway, Seaman Apprentice Matthew Kerkenbush, Seaman Apprentice Justin Rivera, Fireman Recruit Justin Teal, Seaman Jesus Carrasco, Fireman Recruit Darion Willis, Yeoman Third Class David Bendis, Seaman Alexander Carter, Seaman Recruit Jeffrey Lawson, Seaman Jose Riverabarbosa, Seaman William Prebis, Seaman Donald Truman, Seaman Apprentice Donald Boyd, Seaman Recruit William Abshure, Seaman Steven Cardamone, Logistics Specialist Second Class Joseph Donahue, Seaman Daniel Tolentino and Seaman Travis Hodo were named graduates with distinction.
