Portsmouth, R.I. - Rhode Island State Police are seeking the public's help to find a missing 13-year-old Portsmouth teen believed to be in the company of an unknown man.

Portsmouth Police issued an Amber Alert on Wednesday for Kathryn Botelho, who is described as being 4-feet, 11-inches tall and weighing 110 pounds, with blue eyes and blonde hair.

Botelho's mother reported the girl missing Wednesday morning. Police say a witness saw someone matching Botelho's description leave the family home with a white male described as being 40-45 years old, unshaven, 5-feet, 9-inches tall with a thin build.

The two were seen in an older model red Chrysler Concord or Sebring, possibly bearing New Jersey registration.

The man is believed to be unknown to the teen's family.
