Police investigate incident outside East Lyme police station
East Lyme — Police investigated Thursday an incident that may have occurred inside a white van parked in the East Lyme Police Department parking lot, on Route 156 in Niantic.
The state police major crime unit was at the scene investigating. East Lyme resident state trooper and East Lyme police were also at the scene, as were the East Lyme fire marshal and First Selectman Paul Formica. Police were called to the scene at around 3 p.m.
The parking lot was taped off with police tape, and police hung up a red tarp in front of the van. Route 156 (Main Street) remained open.
Formica said police were investigating. He had no further comment.
