Police looking for man with fake $100 bills
Waterford — Police are looking for a man who they say attempted to pass counterfeit $100 bills early this morning at two local businesses.
Police said they responded to the Hess gas station and Sam’s Mart, both on Route 1, for a report that a man was passing fake money.
The suspect purchased small items and then paid for them by using the fake $100 bill, police said. At one location, the store clerk refused to complete the purchase.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a thin build. He had a pony tail and a thin chin-strap beard. He was wearing a red Raptors or 76ers baseball cap, plaid shirt and a black North Face jacket.
