The restored motor lifeboat CG36500 arrives at City Pier in New London on Thursday in preparation for Friday's groundbreaking ceremony for the National Coast Guard Museum. The lifeboat, which left Chatham, Mass., on Tuesday, was made famous in February 1952, during the rescue of 32 people from the ill-fated tanker Pendleton, which had wrecked during a winter storm off the shores of Cape Cod.
