New London police union raising funds for community events, organizations

New London — The New London Police Union Local 724 is in the midst of its annual telephone fundraiser.

Representatives from TCI America, a national fundraising organization, will be calling to solicit donations to the police union.

The 64 members of the New London Police Union in turn give donated funds back to the community through various outlets that include the following organizations and events: Carter Scholarship, United Way Gemma Moran Food Bank, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, Neighborhood Alliance, NLHS non-alcoholic senior party, Salvation Army, McCourt Foundation, FDNL burn foundation, Special Olympics and the Sandy Ground Project.
