NRC to host annual meeting with nuclear energy advisory council in Waterford
Waterford — The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will meet with the Connecticut Nuclear Energy Advisory Council from 6 to 8 p.m. March 22 at the Waterford public library.
The meeting is open to the public. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the NRC’s assessment of the safety performance of the Millstone Power Station for 2016, as described in the NRC’s March 1 annual assessment letter. The NRC will respond to questions from council members and the public about specific performance issues at the plant and the NRC’s role in ensuring safe plant operations.
