Waterford — People gathered around a bonfire Friday to stay warm at Waterford Beach Park, during the town's New Year's Eve, Eve, Eve Party.

The event, put on by Waterford Recreation & Parks, also featured fireworks. Firefighters from the Goshen and Oswegatchie departments had to respond when the fireworks ignited a small brush fire on the dunes at the park, though it was quickly knocked down.
