East Lyme — Crews have closed the left lane of Interstate 95 north near Exit 71 for construction, causing delays as far back as the Raymond E. Baldwin Bridge.
The state Department of Transportation announced the work around 9:30 a.m. and said it could last until 3 p.m. It didn't describe the nature of the work.
A Google Maps estimate suggests it’s taking more than 20 minutes to travel the seven-mile stretch.
