    Connecticut International Auto Show this weekend at Mohegan Sun

    Mohegan — Some 30 automakers will showcase their latest models this weekend during the Connecticut International Auto Show at Mohegan Sun’s Earth Expo & Convention Center.

    The Connecticut Automotive Retailers Association will open the show with an event at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the entrance to the expo center’s exhibition hall. State Department of Motor Vehicles Commissioner Michael Bzdyra and Robert Kaliszewski, deputy commissioner of the state Department of Energy & Environmental Protection, are scheduled to attend.

    Kaliszewski is expected to make an announcement regarding Connecticut’s electric vehicle rebate program, CHEAPR, and present the 2018 Electric Vehicle Champion Award.

    The auto show, which will continue through Sunday, will feature a variety of electric vehicles, motorcycles and exotic cars, a Toyota Ride and Drive event, a Supercar Showcase and a Classic Volkswagen Showcase.
