Groton registrars to hold voter registration session ahead of referendum
Groton — The Groton registrars have announced they will hold a voter registration session from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the Groton Human Services Building, 2 Fort Hill Road, to register new voters who will be entitled to vote in the referendum on Dec. 11, 2018.
The cutoff date for voter registration by mail for the referendum is Tuesday, Dec. 4. New voter registration cards must be postmarked by that date, and received by Dec. 10, according to the news release.
A limited voter registration session will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Monday, Dec. 10, for those seeking to vote in the referendum whose qualifications as to age, citizenship or residence were attained after the cutoff date, the release states.
People with questions can call the Groton Voter Registration Office at (860) 441-6650. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday evenings.
