    Attorney Jonathan Aubin has joined Waller Smith & Palmer. Aubin was recently admitted to the bar for the state of Connecticut.     Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub raised over $544,000 during this year’s Boys & Girls Club Fundraiser, which took place Oct. 1 through Nov. 4th at all Ninety Nine Restaurants across New England and upstate New York. The funds will benefit 65 local Boys and Girls Club chapters with 100 percent of the money raised going directly to these dedicated clubs.     ANNUAL MEETING

    The Norwich Arts Center, an entirely volunteer-staffed organization, held its Annual Meeting on Oct. 22 at the Marriott Courtyard in Norwichtown. The board unanimously voted the following slate of officers for 2018-2019. Karen Staples, President; Kris Nickerson, Vice President; Thom Keaney, Treasurer, and Matt Greene, Secretary. During the meeting, they honored the outgoing Secretary Roberta Vincent who has held the position for over a decade, and Charlie Chase the now immediate Past President. Also recognized were volunteers Donna Jewell, Dee Keaney and Sue Masse.

    ACQUISITIONS

    The Pawcatuck-based extrusion technology manufacturer Davis-Standard, LLC announced this week it acquired Thermoforming Systems LLC of Yakima, Washington. TSL designs and manufactures thermoforming equipment to the food-packaging industry in North America.
