Chowder Days run Saturday through Monday at Mystic Seaport Museum

Chowder Days run Saturday through Monday at Mystic Seaport Museum (Contributed)

What kind of chowder do you prefer?

Bahamian conch chowder? Rhode Island clear chowder? Chicken, poblano and corn chowder?

Or perhaps you’re a vegan and lean toward a butternut squash bisque?

Not to worry — all of those, along with New England clam chowder and lobster bisque, are available to those with a hankering for soup at this weekend’s Chowder Days by Coastal Gourmet at Mystic Seaport Museum.

Here’s how I would roll: get the Chowder Tasting Trio, where, for seven $1 tickets, you can sample three bisque/chowders of your choice.

And for those who have a taste for something solid, there are clam fritters, hot dogs and hamburgers, fish taco and more.

Activities that are part of Chowder Days include free hayrides on the seaport’s 1929 Model A truck from noon to 4 p.m., and lawn games.

Chowder Days, 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday-Monday, Mystic Seaport Museum, 75 Greenmanville Ave., Mystic; seaport open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily; cost of food not included in museum admission (which is $28.95 for adults, $26.95 ages 65 and up, $24.95 ages 13-17, $18.95 ages 3-12, free for kids 2 and younger);  (860) 572-0711, www.mysticseaport.org.
