    PROMOTION

    Mohegan Sun has announced the promotion of Kim Noto to vice president of marketing and chief marketing officer. Noto will take the lead on all marketing efforts, including overseeing Mohegan Sun's Player's Club, VIP services, hotel sales and marketing, hotel yielding, database marketing, sponsorship, bus marketing and special events. She has been with Mohegan Sun since 2007, serving as marketing analyst, senior marketing analyst, marketing analysis manager, director of campaign management and analytics and vice president of customer relationship management. Noto has a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Bryant University and an MBA in business analytics from the University of Hartford. She lives in Pawcatuck.

    Davis-Standard will offer "Basics of Plastics Extrusion" seminar, in virtual fashion, Oct. 6–8. This three-day interactive seminar will cover the fundamentals of plastics extrusion, composition and properties of various polymers, and the mechanics of essential downstream processes. Daily instruction will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m. for a total of 15 training hours. The fee is $695 per person with a 10 percent discount given for groups of three or more from the same company. Course books and materials are included. Class size is limited.     The WBC of Southeastern CT, which is hosted by the Women’s Business Development Council, has been named Women’s Business Center of the Year in Connecticut. Since opening its doors in April 2018, WBC-SECT has helped over 1,000 women achieve their dream of launching or scaling their business.     The Westerly Community Credit Union is the sole sponsor of the Ocean Community YMCA's School's Out program. he sponsorship of $10,000 will help the Ocean Community YMCA continue to offer before and after school enrichment and childcare for families of elementary school children in the Westerly and Chariho school districts.
