The Artists’ Cooperative Gallery of Westerly asks 'What Color Is Joy?'

The members of the Artists’ Cooperative Gallery of Westerly will celebrate the promise of 2021 with a new show exploring the question “What Color is Joy?” that will be on view Jan. 6-31.

Contributing artists will offer their own answers in myriad ways and hope to inspire others to reflect on their own ideas as well.

The show will feature the work of member artist Diane Brown. Brown is an award-winning mixed media artist. Her works can be found in collections throughout New England and in a number of states along the East Coast. The artist creates contemporary paintings in oil and cold wax. Her art is inspired by natural and organic formations.

The January show will also include work in a wide variety of media by the many other member artists and artisans including painting, monotype printing, encaustic, sculpture, jewelry, pottery, photography, fabric art and more.

ACGOW is temporarily running on modified hours: 1-5 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. This fine arts gallery located at 14 Railroad Ave. in the historic Westerly Train Station. Visit westerlyarts.com.
