    My Pet Pal 2020 Roundup

Matt Dowling of Noank said his mini goldendoodle Axl is “one of a kind.”

We’re wrapping up the year with our annual roundup of some of the many animals featured in our My Pet Pal segment. We received dozens of submissions — we’re already booking into July — and we promise that every pet submitted is a 10 out of 10. In a year of uncertainty and concern, we hope you enjoy a review of some of the pets we met this year.

Dan Assard and Skiyea Nieves of Waterford said Sam the Labrador is an expert slipper retriever.
Sarah McCart of Groton said Giuseppe the leopard gecko loves a good action or horror movie.
Steve and Vicki Urbowicz of Old Lyme said it’s a bedtime tradition for Peanut the cat and Stanley the bearded dragon to snuggle up.
Lee Verbridge of Pawcatuck said rabbit sisters Rea and Lea love hanging out with their dog and cat housemates.
Stacy Sherman-Watson of New London said Claire the German shepherd is a devoted family member who has no concept of social distancing.
Nancy Perry of Mystic said Delilah loves “cat”ching up on news in The Day.
Kaycee Gagnier of Montville said Nemo is a kitten in a big kitty body and has two extra toes on his front feet.
Bob Phoenix of Norwich said Skip is proof that every dog is capable being great.
Amy Yaras of Ledyard said Ginger likes to squeeze herself into any size box that comes in the mail.
