    New London man arrested in alleged Norwich home invasion

    Norwich — A New London man faces assault, robbery and other charges stemming from an alleged home invasion at a Norwich residence.

    Hakeem Dannett, 26, of 172 Shaw St., Apt. 1, was charged Thursday by Norwich police with first-degree assault, home invasion, cruelty to persons, first-degree robbery and fifth-degree larceny. He was held on a $1 million bond and is scheduled to be arraigned April 29 in Norwich Superior Court.

    The arrest warrant in the case has been ordered sealed by the court, Norwich police said. The date of the incident was not released.

    Police said Dannett was arrested Thursday by Mashantucket Tribal Police after a motor vehicle stop and was identified as the suspect in an alleged Norwich assault and home invasion incident. Norwich police had obtained a warrant for Dannett’s arrest on April 9.
