    The Groton Public Library and Liberty Bank are hosting a free shredding event in the library's parking lot on Saturday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to noon. Bring up to three file-sized boxes for complimentary safe and secure shredding. Non-perishable food items will also be accepted and donated to local food pantries.
