Hundreds without power after truck strikes utility pole in New London
New London — A truck struck a utility pole in New London on Tuesday morning, knocking out power for nearly 400 people, according to Eversource.
The truck struck the pole about 11 a.m., a spokesperson for Eversource said, leaving 388 customers without power for about an hour.
Power was restored about noon, according to Eversource spokesperson Mitch Gross. New London police did not immediately provide details on the crash.
