    Charter Oak Federal Credit Union has received the "Community Partner of the Year" award from the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut for its continuing financial support and community involvement in programs and services to help those in need. Charter Oak was honored this past month with the annual award during United Way's Community Celebration event held at Mohegan Sun. Charter Oak activities include a school supply drive for students and distribution of hygiene kits to local schools, sponsoring mobile food pantry distributions, providing turkeys and holiday food to the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center at Thanksgiving, awarding Matching Gifts funding from Charter Oak and its members to support United Way activities, and running an United Way Workplace Giving Campaign during the past year.     Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub raised $400,000 during this year's annual Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Jimmy Fund fundraiser with donations coming from guests at all Ninety Nine Restaurant locations. Ninety Nine Restaurants have raised over $5.8 million over the past 16 years with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.
