Women's reproductive rights' march Saturday in downtown Pawcatuck
Stonington -- A Pawcatuck women's rights march will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pawcatuck River Bridge.
The event is being held in conjunction with marches across the country to defend women's reproductive rights and access to abortion.
"It is our hope that Showing Up to Stand Up for Reproductive Rights, not only here but across the State and Nation, will send a clear message that we will not stand idly by while our Rights are ignored and/or taken away. Abortion is essential health care and we're marching on 10/2 in every single state to defend and protect abortion access," wrote local organizer Katharine Paquin in announcing the event.
