    Winners announced in Griswold home decorating contest

    The Eastern Connecticut Performing Arts Association has announced seven winners and three honorable mentions in its second annual Holiday Home Decorating Contest in Griswold and Jewett City.

    The contest is to benefit St. Mary’s Food Pantry and is sponsored by 2020 winner Pat Camputaro of American Industries Inc.

    The public voted on the curb appeal of exterior holiday decorations in five categories, which resulted in two ties. The winners in each category are:

    Biggest “Wow” Factor:

    Tie between 65 Kenwood Estates, Griswold, and 5 Kelci Circle, Griswold.

    Most Unique Design:

    1015 Voluntown Road, Griswold.

    Best use of White Lights / Most Elegant:

    Tie between 17 Goldstein Road, Griswold and 153 George Palmer Road, Griswold.

    Best use of Animation and/or Audio Special FX:

    85 Colonel Brown Road, Griswold.

    Notable Holiday Theme:

    53 Mechanic St., Griswold.

    All winners will receive a $50 cash prize, a gift certificate to an upcoming ECPAA program and a lawn sign to showcase their win.

    Additionally, ECPAA identified three Honorable Mention entries:

    2 Pauline Place, Griswold, 27 Amy Road, Griswold, and 1184 Voluntown Road, Griswold.
