    Chelsea Groton Bank has named Carolyn Welch, Senior Vice President, the Director of Commercial Business Growth and Development, and Rich Balestracci has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending Department Manager.

    Welch joined the Bank in 2016 as Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer, and was named SVP, Commercial Lending Manager in 2018, and SVP, Director of Commercial Lending in 2021. She lives in Wallingford. Balestracci joined the Bank in 2014 and has assumed roles of increasing responsibility with the Commercial Lending team. He lives in Pawcatuck.

    Job Fair 2022 will be held Thursday, Sept. 1 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Mystic Marriott. About 30 local employers, including Electric Boat, both casinos, school departments, banks, manufacturers and restaurants and inns, will be represented. Resources on resume writing and interviewing will be available. The Fleet and Family Support Center at the Naval Base will be available to discuss support services they provide to military members, veterans and their dependents.
