Expedia has listed East Lyme as one of the most beautiful towns in America.

The travel company chose the town as among 30 destinations across the United States for the second part of its "Most Beautiful Towns in America."

"Looking for some delicious views?" writes Expedia Staff Writer Chloe Mulliner in the post on the Expedia Viewfinder blog. "Feast your eyes on East Lyme, where you can meander along Niantic Bay Boardwalk, overlooking the Long Island Sound, and hike along the creeks and pond in Nehantic State Forest."

"Expedia picked the top destinations that are undeniably beautiful in their own ways," according to an announcement. "These places made the list based on gorgeous landscapes, elegant skylines and more."

Another southeastern Connecticut destination, Mystic, made the list in 2016.
